Welcome to Goldy's Bandwagon! This crew started their tailgating journey when Minnesota’s on-campus stadium opened in 2009. This group is formed of a collection of college friends who all attended the U of M together and shared an unshakeable passion for Gopher Football and the pageantry of college football and tailgating. Over the years, they've taken on many forms - from simple beginnings with only so much gear it could fit inside a sedan and tailgating in lots far from the stadium. To now share ownership of a converted Star Tribune delivery box truck and be directly in the heart of the best tailgating lot Minnesota has to offer, just steps from the stadium. This group has slowly grown over the years to now have 10 friends and passionate Gopher fans who all have season tickets in the same section and rows. Over the years, the tailgate has been featured in pregame segments on Fox, Big Ten Network, and with U of M marketing and promotion video folks. At this U of M tailgate, they don’t take themselves too seriously and love having a hell of a time before watching Minnesota take the field.

They've got plenty of shade with a couple of canopies to help cover the tailgate. Usually, there are about 25 guests, and the event is open to all ages, though typically the guests are all in their 30s and 40s. The menu varies weekly but they've featured everything from low country shrimp boils, to Ooni-fired pizzas, to Philly Cheesesteaks, to brat/sausage buffet with all the toppings, and more; plus beer (canned or bottled), selzers such as High Noon and White Claws, whiskey, vodka, tequila, water, and non-alcoholic soft drinks to wash it all down! Beyond the standard beverage options, they often also have cigars and various cannabis options available (yes, it’s legal in MN), and for cold-weather games, they have a Captain and cider concoction that will wash all your worries away. Their beer dart game is a consistent draw, regularly has tailgate goers stop in their tracks to watch or join in a game. Come early to enjoy the party at least 3 hours before the game; the later the kick-off is set, the longer we'll be out there before the game! They've got 1 TV to catch other games on, their speaker will be playing, and their beer dart game will keep the party going for as long as they're there!
