The UMD Homecoming 2025 Tailgate is a long-running Maryland tradition that began in 2011 when two Terp alumni brothers carried their young alumni season tickets and parking passes into what has grown into one of the most spirited game day gatherings at College Park. Located at the corner of Lot 9B near the Xfinity Center, this family-and-friends tailgate welcomes around 25 guests with plenty of food favorites like burgers, hot dogs, pizza, and snacks, plus a wide variety of drinks including beer, seltzers, and cocktails. With two tents, three tables, and 20 chairs, guests can relax or jump into the action with games like cornhole, kan jam, flip cup, and beer pong. Known for its lively atmosphere and great entertainment, the tailgate pumps energy with playlists and booming speakers, making it the perfect place to gear up for kickoff. Recommended arrival for food is about two hours before game time.
