409 Tailgate Club was started because the founders, Andrew and Jeremy, love Penn State football, tailgating, and barbecue. In addition to simply being tailgaters, they also run a barbecue catering company. From charcoal grilled chicken wings to wood smoked meats, they pride themselves in serving the best barbecue in Happy Valley! Like so many others that grew up in Pennsylvania, they bleed blue and white and attended their first football games as kids in the 70’s, became experienced tailgaters by the 80’s, and hosted their own tailgate parties as Penn State students in the 90’s. Over the years, they have continued to tailgate outside Beaver Stadium as season ticket holders.
